Natural disasters
are something that can destroy everything in the world. They can not be
predicted by scientist because they are result of natural activity of the
Earth. One of natural disasters is Earthquake. It is the most extreme natural
disaster in the world. It can injure people and also destroy many things even
the big building. It can be happened because two causes, basically. Earthquake
can be caused by the movement of Earth’s plate and the activity of volcano.
Earthquake
which is caused by the movement of Earth’s plate is called as Tectonic Earthquake.
It happens when endogenetic of rocks in the surface of the earth makes a
movement. This movement can be happened horizontally and vertically. There is a
form of natural disaster that is affected by Tectonic Earthquake. It is called
as Tsunami. It occurs when there is an earthquake
under the ocean. It is the biggest form
which can cause death and destruction to the living and non-living things surrounding areas. Beside that this kind of earthquake affects the
dislocation and the changing of the shape in the Earth’s crust.
Another one is
Volcanic Earthquake. It is caused by the activity of volcano. This kind of
earthquake relates with the process of magma and others materials come out to
the Earth through some cracks in the Earth’s crust. It also can come out
through diatrema or a central pipe in a part of volcano. This Earthquake is not
only able to destroy everything, but it also can give some benefits. One of
them is the materials of magma
are rich in nutrients. According to the BBC, those materials break
down into the soil and make very fertile farmland.
In conclusion, Earthquake can not be predicted by people even by
scientists. But the scientists can give the people some warnings whenever an
Earthquake comes. It is still a challenge for all of the scientists to find how
to prevent this kind of disaster because until this day an Earthquake can not
be prevented. As human, people just can run away and save their lives whenever
it comes.
